We’re always working to create events for the community, to both support the animals we’ve taken in and to give back! We also aim to participate in public events, where we can spread awareness of our cause and meet other members of the animal-rescue community. Here are our upcoming events!

Join Friends of the Metro Parks to make new memories, enjoy food and drinks, and learn tips for introducing your dog to paddling. Whether your dog loves it, or thinks you’re a little crazy, you’re both guaranteed to have a fun time trying! And it’s FREE!
Keep in mind that every paddle board participant (available 4p-9p) is required to wear a life jacket. Human life jackets are provided by Metro Parks, but there are only a few doggy life jackets available, so bring your own if possible! There will also be beer available for purchase, so please plan to enjoy paddling before drinking.

Kroger
Kroger has a pet adoption program called “For Your Pets”. Their goals are to help raise awareness for rescues and shelters, and to increase pet adoptions in the community. For this event, we’ll have a table out front, and our board will be there to tell you about any and every animal we’ve helped! If you’re able to donate any goods from the Kroger while you’re there, we would be incredibly grateful – we go through a lot of pet food and clumping cat litter!
“Name Your Price” Yard Sale
A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League will be one of a few vendors utilizing the yard space. Look out for our banner to see the start of the “Name Your Price” tables. The more money we raise, the more money goes towards our mission of providing life saving solutions for companion animals in need!
