Happy Tails

Laura and brother

Laura

Our little ferret friend found her way to ABD after being discovered outside by a concerned animal lover. Underweight and covered in fleas, quick action was taken to help her on the way to recovery. Laura entered a Foster-to-Adopt program with a well versed ferret mama right outside of Dayton! After taking some time to get to know her fur mama and foster brother Jack, it was decided that this would be her furever home. Laura is back to a healthy weight and loves playing with the dozens of toys she shares with brother Jack.

Sissy adopted

Sissy

Sissy had a difficult journey traveling from Alabama to Ohio but had help along the way from The Greater Birmingham Humane Society, ASPCA and finally with A Brighter Day.. She underwent dental work and surgery on her shoulder that took a lot of TLC on the journey to recovery. When spending time with her foster family, they quickly fell in love with Sissy and decided to adopt. Now she spends her days being doted on by a family who loves her and treats her with the kindness she deserves.

Grace

Grace

Grace was adopted by my Foster-to-Adopt mom and sister cat Murphy! When Grace came to ABD she was ringworm and heart-worm positive. Working together with our partner at Gigis, we started the long process to better health and finding her the best home possible. Now Grace has been coming out of her shell! She is getting to know her new family and taking plenty of time to cuddle!

Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea began her young life in a rough spot. At about 8 weeks old she was living in a backpack without access to food, water or a proper living space. Her then owners wanted the best for her and was connected to ABD. Now Sweet Pea is thriving in her furever home with an experienced guinea pig family and fellow animal welfare advocates. Sweet Pea loves popcorning, spending time near her guinea sisters, and snacking on fresh greens.

 Pixie and Pucca

Piston and Pedal (Now Pixie and Pucca)

Piston and Pedal were 2 of 6 kittens apart of the ABD “Kitten Auto Club”. A good Samaritan disassembled his car to pull out these poor kittens and get them to safety. After trying to find a place to meet these kittens needs, he found ABD. A Brighter Day knew these kittens would flourish under the right care and luckily there was a foster who could do just that. This foster quickly fell in love with Piston and Pedal and was eager to adopt. Now they live their best lives with their mama Jacques helping their brothers and sisters get adopted!
